Holding a 1/43rd scale model for painting can be a problem, I was recently shown a simple answer. The Mount is made from a short length of plastic electrical conduit, a small scrap of wood, two screws and an old spray can lid. The pictures are probably explanation enough. On this example one end was fixed and the other free to slide. The body is mounted to the stand using the chassis mounting holes and screws. This could be adapted for models of all scales.
