Porsche 962 by Profil 24

This is one of the latest Profil 24th scale kits. There is less detail in this kit than the earlier BMW LM winner and McLaren GTR. This would appear to be a good intro to Resin models in 1:24th scale. The kit is mainly resin with "rubber" tyres, a clear vacform for screens and lights and two photoetch frets. There are nice touches in the packing, the clear resin parts are separated from the rest in a folded stapled corner of the bag and the brass and steel photoetch frets are similarly separated.

The main body and chassis mouldings look good with much detail in the cockpit already moulded in place which might make painting difficult. The decals look excellent and the instructions are in English and French and should be adequate for building the model. The shape looks accurate and the end result should be pleasing. Pictures of the other kits in this range can be seen in the news section.
